The Oliver L.E. Soden Agency’s main office has been located in Jamesburg since 1925. This office has proudly served Jamesburg and Monroe Township, and the surrounding area of Middlesex, Mercer and Monmouth Counties since the very beginning. While the agency’s reach has grown far past the local area, we are proud of our roots as a small-town insurance agency. We strive to treat our customers with the same attention and care as we have from the very beginning.

The agency started as a one-person-shop in Oliver L.E. Soden (Sr)’s living room. Over the years, the agency has gradually taken over and expanded the agency founder’s Victorian home. We have taken great care to keep the historic character and features of the home, while making it work as a modern office. When clients and partners come by for the first time, they often take notice of the kitchen. While not original to the home, Hal & Bob Soden decided to keep it the same even through the 2004 renovation in honor of Oliver L.E. Soden’s wife, Edna Soden. It is like a time capsule out of the 1940’s.

The Jamesburg office remains our main location and houses our entire Account Management department, along with the offices of agency principals Hal Soden, Sr, Bob Soden, Sr and Bob Soden, Jr. Hal Soden, Jr is often in Jamesburg on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This office is open to the public Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM.
